  • Tasha Blank

    Tasha Blank is a DJ, educator, and nightlife innovator known for creating electrifying dance floors worldwide. As an international DJ, somatic practitioner, teacher, and founder of The Get Down, The Drop, BODY LANGUAGE, and Powerhouse DJ School (PhDJ), she brings a transformative, nervous system-based approach to movement.

    Tasha’s work blends somatic healing, shadow work, story, and ceremony to guide people into their most powerful self-expression.

  • Dr Emma Kaywin

    Dr. Emma Kaywin (they/them/theirs) is a sexual health educator, consultant, and activist based in Brooklyn, NY. They are the Consent Co-Director at House of Yes (NYC) and co-lead the Safer Spaces team at Meso Creso (DC), consulting for nightlife communities and arts organizations. Emma develops trauma-informed policies, trains staff, and leads workshops on consent, trauma, and sexuality. They hold a Doctorate in health education from Teachers College, Columbia University, with research focused on creating safer nightlife spaces for queer and gender-diverse individuals.

  • Phoenix AKA Mohawk "The Rebel Educationist"

    Phoenix is a black, trans, intersectional harm reduction educator and advocate for people who use drugs (PWUD), providing both in-person and online resources. As a skilled community organizer, writer, and educator, they focus on advocating for drug policy reform and supporting marginalized groups, particularly queer and trans people who use drugs. Phoenix has worked with organizations like NEXT Distro, Youth RISE, and the Drug Policy Alliance, and remains dedicated to uplifting those impacted by The Drug War™.

  • Jared Skolnick

    Jared Skolnick is an experienced harm reduction and sexual violence prevention professional. After eight years with DanceSafe, including leading the NYC chapter, he launched SafeRaveNYC and co-founded Grassroots Harm Reduction, organizations focused on providing essential safety services to local communities. Jared began his work in consent as a Consenticorn at House of Yes and has since helped shape consent programs for organizations like Burning Man camps and kink parties. He is also a sexual violence prevention trainer with OutSmartNYC, training nightlife staff to identify and prevent incidents.

  • KayKay47

    Kaykay47 is an Artivist from the Bronx who blends artistic expression with social activism. With a master's in social work, she brings a deep understanding of both the emotional and practical aspects of the NYC nightlife scene. As a Professional DJ and Nightlife Worker, Kaykay has made a name for herself, using her platform to create vibrant, inclusive environments. Her dedication to OutSmartNYC’s mission of preventing sexual violence in nightlife spaces further amplifies her commitment to health equity. As a Health Equity Nightlife Liaison, Kaykay combines her expertise in nightlife with a focus on ensuring safer and more equitable spaces for all.

  • Zoë Beery

    Zoe Beery is a freelance feature writer and editor focused on economic and cultural change. She’s a contributing writer at Hell Gate, creator of the community events series at Nowadays, and co-founder of the Writing on Raving reading series. Previously, she edited culture stories at the Village Voice and worked as a sound editor at Lucasfilm. Zoe is also an expert in nightlife awareness and safer spaces, having served as an awareness monitor at Nowadays and co-created awareness programs for festivals like Sustain-Release and Horst Arts & Music Festival. She is available for consulting and speaking engagements on these topics.

  • Ethan Sapperstein

    Lawyer, event producer, DJ, and drummer, Ethan combines his legal and nightlife experience to provide strategic advice for creating safer event spaces and for resolving reported consent violations. He advises community leaders, nightlife organizers, and event producers on enacting effective consent policies and ensuring that event spaces are a safe and comfortable place for everyone who attends. He also partners with grassroots and community-led teams focusing on survivor support and advocacy in restorative justice and community accountability processes.

  • Venus Cuffs

    Venus Cuffs is an award-winning Nightlife Producer and former Dominatrix, known for creating unforgettable, adults-only experiences like dance parties and provocative events. With expertise in business, finance, and pleasure, she hosts performance-driven shows, such as LGBT ballroom events, and crafts immersive, safe, and inclusive spaces for all comfort levels. Featured in major publications like The New York Times and Essence, Venus is also a respected authority in alternative cultures and lifestyles, and remains dedicated to uplifting underrepresented groups in nightlife.

  • Oriana Mayorga

    Oriana is a Master of Divinity who works as a healthcare chaplain in Manhattan and provides harm reduction services in Spanish in the Bronx. Oriana collaborates with drug policy organizations, focusing on the needs of BIPOC and those interested in psychedelics. In her 11th year in harm reduction and psychedelic spaces, she completed part of her MAPS MDMA-assisted therapy certification. She plans to complete her doctorate in 2027, focusing on MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for women of color with complex trauma.

  • Pauli Cakes

    The Bronx-born, Brooklyn-based DJ and full-time nightlife legend is renowned for their hard-hitting, genre-bending soundscape that keeps the crowd moving. In addition to their electrifying sets, they are the creator of the xCakes Safer Nightlife Info Exchange, an initiative designed to promote safety, inclusivity, and support within the nightlife community. Their dedication to creating dynamic safer spaces continues to impact and elevate both the NYC music scene and wider nightlife culture.

  • Whitney Day

    NYC-based DJ and Event Producer Whitney Day has been rocking dance floors worldwide for over a decade, blending Vocal-House, Club Classics, and Disco remixes. Known for curating inclusive parties from Tokyo to Ibiza, she founded ‘Whitney Day Events’ to create safe spaces for queer Womxn and the LGBTQ+ community. Day has produced numerous events, including her recent ‘Queer Garden’ summer series at a 25,000-square-foot outdoor venue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

  • Jacqui Rabkin

    Jacqui worked at House of Yes as the Marketing & Cultural Director and Founder and Co-Director of the Safer Spaces Program. She also worked at Little Cinema as a Marketing & Communications Specialist, and served as a Digital Marketing Consultant at Caveat and was the Founder of @dancebitchbk. Prior to her work in marketing and events, she was a Neuroscientist and MD/PhD Student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she conducted research on cocaine addiction.
